Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this policy, you must:

  • hold 12 months of continuous financial membership with the ETU Victoria at the time of registering for your cover;
  • maintain continuous financial union membership with the ETU Victoria until the end of your trip;
  • be 74 years of age or under;
  • travel for less than 180 days; and
  • travel to a destination more than 250 km from your normal place of residence.

Your Duty to Not Misrepresent

You are required to answer all questions truthfully and to the best of your knowledge, as this information helps determine whether we can offer you coverage.

A misrepresentation occurs when information provided is false, misleading, or does not accurately reflect the truth. Failure to uphold this Duty may result in the reduction or denial of a claim, policy cancellation, or both. In cases of deliberate or reckless misrepresentation, we may consider the policy void from inception

  • Your trip must exceed 250km from your normal place of residence.

When are you travelling?

Your trip starts from the time you leave your normal place of residence or place of work in your country of residence, whichever is the later Your trip ends when you return to your normal place of residence or place of work in your country of residence, whichever is sooner
  • Your registration cannot be completed more than 90 days before your departure date.
  • Your trip duration cannot exceed 180 days.

Your legal spouse or de facto partner who you have lived together with on a genuine domestic basis.

Dependant means you and your spouse/partner’s unmarried financially dependant children under the age of 19 (or up to 25 years of age if a full-time student at an accredited institution of higher learning.
Is your Dependant Child(ren) travelling with you?

  • Afghanistan
  • Iraq
  • Syria
  • North Korea
  • Iran
  • Somalia
  • Venezuela
  • Yemen
  • Libya
  • Israel (including occupied territories, West Bank, Gaza Strip)

  • By continuing you agree you have read, understood and agree to the Policy Schedule, Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Policy Wording, and Target Market Determination.
  • You also confirm that you have reviewed all coverage details and acknowledge that they are appropriate for your needs.
  • You confirm that you are satisfied with the claim settlement methods outlined in the Product Disclosure Statement.
